The COVID-19 Pandemic is a threat to our physical health. Besides, this pandemic has a great impact in our social and economic life. All things lead to mental health crises.

In our country, people still think mental health is a taboo. But psychological health is as important as physical well-being. With a view to creating awareness MIST Innovation Club (MIC) arranged a Pep Talk session on Mental Health care during Covid 19 pandemic – “What’s On Your Mind- A Session On Mental Health Powered By MIC.”

This session was taken by Maria Mumu, Founder and CEO, Moshal Foundation and Sumaiya Afrin Misti, the Mental Health Counselor and Advisor of Moshal Foundation on Friday May 22, 2020 at 3 pm.

In the pandemic situation all of are facing changes which result in worry and depression. This anxiety may affect our functional activities in daily life and emotional condition. The session put an emphasis on adapting with the new normal. Both the speakers shared their experiences and some friendly advice on how to be cheerful and take proper care of mental health.  There was also a question answer segment where the speakers replied the queries that students asked through a Google form.

It is not easy for everyone to remain in excellent condition in this situation. MIC tried to provide the students an emotional support to bounce back from stress and difficulties by arranging this event.
