Guiding The Way: MIC App Development Program

As lockdown was imposed due to Covid-19, both academic and club activities had to be paused. This is where MIC stood out in its own way. The successful calendar MIC has left behind last year with all its events and programs prove that it is surely a club of innovation. The App Development Program is one of the events that took place in this time period.

From April 19 to June 12, under the guidance of Tanzim Hasan Fahim (EECE-15), former president of MIC and Mahmudul Haque (EECE-16) over 100 students from level 1 & 2 of all the departments started this app development course. Imranul Bashar (IPE-3), Raiyan Ibne Hafiz (EECE-16) and Adil Ahnaf Mugdho (EECE-16) assisted the instructors to conduct the whole process.

It was a 1.5-month long course in which a variety of technical skills such as basic ideas of Dart Programming Language, Flutter Framework, My SQL Database, php API developments were covered. The courses were conducted via Zoom meetings. All the recorded videos were uploaded in the Official YouTube channel of MIC so that students can learn these skills in future.

At the end of the program, there was a submission process where students were asked to submit their works. Each of the students who submitted were handed with certificates as recognition from the club.

With so many efforts by the instructors and assistants and more than 12 hours of online video materials recorded, the App Development Program was yet again a successful feat among so many during the lockdown period
