“Innovation is the calling card for the future”
Starting in 2020 MIST Innovation Club (MIC) has been serving for the growth and development of the students at Military Institute of Science and Technology. In this three year, the club has reached a growth of Social Media reach 300k and a page follower of more than 3500 people throughout the country. Though the tenure of MIC is very short, the club has been able to gain name and fame and is expected to be one of the prominent university clubs of Bangladesh.
The club started with a grand inauguration ceremony. MIST Innovation Club focuses on technical and soft skills so that the students and technical knowledge will be able to start their entrepreneurship journey solving the national problems and creating employability opportunities for the people of Bangladesh. In 2020 we had live physical courses on Python, Graphics Designing, and a workshop on IoT. Even in the covid situation, we did not stop and carried out our operations online arranging Python Starter Pack, App Development, Augmented Reality, Presentation, and Pitching Hacks, etc. Moreover, the club started a series of Talkshow called Pep Talks where Industrial Specialists came and share their thoughts about their work experience and career guidelines. Our first online intra MIST event, Pitch Camp, which went so popular. Following the same pace we again launced Pitch Camp 2.0 this year and got a huge response from the students of MIST
MIC has also been doing some internal projects and R & D work. We had done a project on automated hand sanitizer. Our former president Tanzim Hasan Fahim developed an online certificate distribution system certify.ltd, which helped a skill developing organization like Smartifier Academy (currently Smartifier Training and Consultation) to conduct their Young Professional Smartification course.
Lastly, we are grateful to our respected Commandant Maj Gen Md Wahid-Uz-Zaman and Lt Col Lutful Habib sir for guiding us and hope we would be able to bring creativity and innovation among the MIST students
