Python is a well-known programming language. It is widely used in data science and software development. To utilize the lockdown period fruitfully MIST Innovation Club launched a two week long online course on programming using python -’PYTHON STARTER PACK’. Mahmudul Haque, Executive director (Machine learning and image processing) of MIC was the instructor of this course.
The workshop covered all the following topics
- Variables
- Data structures
- Conditional Statement
- Loop
- Functions
- Basic OOP
This workshop had met the expectations of learning basic python and use it in deeper cases for research work, game, software and web development in future.
Around 200 students enrolled themselves for the course. Students outside of MIST like BUET, KUET, IIUM etc. also joined in the course. In order to get a certificate, participants had to submit a total of two assignments and had to take part in the discussion forum. There was another exciting reward for the students who scored outstanding in the whole course. Top 5 best Participants of the course were offered free courses from Bohubrihi Online Courses
